Remove the background. Keep the detail.
Rovli’s segmentation model runs locally in your browser — on your GPU where available, falling back to your CPU otherwise. It preserves soft alpha detail along hair, fur, and fabric edges instead of flattening them into a hard cutout, and every mask it produces is editable afterward, not a final, unchangeable result.
Refine it yourself.
Restore and Erase brushes let you correct the mask by hand — bring back a missed strand of hair, remove a bit of background the model kept. Edge refinement smooths or tightens the boundary itself, so the final cutout reads as intentional, not automated.
Finish the photograph.
Beyond the cutout: non-destructive exposure, contrast, and color adjustments; solid, gradient, or image backgrounds; crop and reframe; soft drop shadows and outlines to seat a subject naturally against its new background. Every change stays editable until you export.
Your photos stay yours.
Nothing about editing a photo in Rovli requires an upload. Decoding, segmentation, mask editing, adjustments, and export all happen on your device. An account is only needed if you choose to save a project to the cloud to continue it elsewhere — see the privacy page for the specifics.
High-resolution output.
Rovli edits non-destructively at your image’s original resolution throughout, and exports at that same resolution by default — background removal never downsamples your source photo to make the model run faster.
